Tesamorelin is a synthetic growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analogue consisting of a 44-amino acid sequence with a trans-3-hexenoyl group at the N-terminus. It acts on pituitary cells to stimulate growth hormone secretion and has been studied in laboratory settings for its effects on the GH/IGF-1 axis.
